Aloisio Gritti : ウィキペディア英語版
Aloisio Gritti
Aloisio Gritti (d. 1534) was a son of Andrea Gritti, the Doge of Venice. His mother was Greek, and he was born in Istanbul while his father was bailo there. Educated in Italy, he returned to his native city and pursued a career there. A favorite of Pargalı Ibrahim Pasha, he had a significant role in Ottoman foreign relations while the latter was Grand Vizier.〔Christine Isom-Verhaaren, ''Allies with the Infidel'', p.216. I.B.Tauris, 2011, ISBN 1848857284〕 Starting in 1532, he tried to impose his rule on Hungary, Transylvania and, through his sons, Moldavia and Wallachia.〔Susana Andea, ''History of Romania: Compendium'', p.277. Romanian Cultural Institute, 2006, ISBN 973778412X〕 Sent by the sultan with troops into Transylvania, he was besieged in the Mediaș citadel by a joint force loyal to Ștefan Mailat and Peter IV Rareș before being killed.〔 ("Cetatea Mediaș" ) at the Sibiu County Cultural Office; accessed June 17, 2013〕
